Most would-be entrepreneurs are stymied by the concept of coming up with the "Big Idea." As a result, many women entrepreneurs begin to think of starting a one-woman small business and ignore the enormous world of businesses for sale.

This forum will tackle the issues of both finding and recognizing business opportunities with some real life examples and a few rules of the road from a fellow GSB alumna who has purchased, tweaked and later sold several companies in varying industries.  The evening will start with a talk by Caryl and then will be opened up for questions and discussion.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Caryl Pedersen, '76, is additionally a Professor of Finance who teaches Entrepreneurial Finance in an MBA program.  Caryl is also a UCWBG Director and VP, Programs, has bought and sold several businesses herself.   This presentation is a third encore, back by popular demand, of the event she led in 2008 and 2009.

Fee includes a light buffet dinner.
