About the Speaker
Jane Van De Velde is a registered nurse and Reiki Master Teacher. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rush University in Chicago. Jane has been practicing Reiki professionally for over seven years offering private sessions, teaching Reiki classes and giving community presentations.
In 2009, she founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called The Reiki Share Project (www.thereikishareproject.org) whose mission is to teach the practice of Reiki to individuals and caregivers dealing with the day to day challenges of serious illness, disability and trauma. At present, The Reiki Share Project is offering Reiki classes at four cancer support centers in the Chicago area. Jane’s mission is to raise community awareness about the value and benefits of Reiki in helping people cope with the complexities of daily life. Jane offers Reiki to herself every day.
