What Every Woman Needs to Know to Protect Her Wealth

This presentation, given by family law and estate planning attorneys, will provide an overview of the risks to wealth accumulation and how to mitigate against them through wills, trusts, and other documents. This is essential knowledge for those planning on merging finances with another person, with business owners and for anyone desiring to leave a legacy through gifting.

 

This meeting will be held in the Boardroom of the Midway Club at Gleacher so capacity is limited.

About our Speakers

Bryan Wilson, from Kamerlink, Stark, McCormack & Powers, LLC, concentrates his practice in family law and has extensive experience involving financial matters, child custody, and domestic violence. These complex areas can be very emotional for the parties involved.  Bryan's clients appreciate his level-headed and personal approach to resolving their cases.  While primarily a litigator, Bryan uses all of his skills to resolve clients' matters, in a cost-effective and efficient manner.  In 2011, Bryan was recognized as an Illinois Rising Star in 2012 by Super Lawyers. Bryan received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2008, and graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in 2005 with a B.A. in Communications.

 

Ryan A. Walsh, from Hamilton Thies & Lorch, LLP, advises individuals, families, business owners, and financial institutions on a range of estate planning, trust, and tax matters. He also has significant experience with trust and estate administration, preparation of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns, real estate transactions, contested estate and trust litigation, trust reformation proceedings, probate and guardianship matters, and representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service. Ryan is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the American Bar Association (Section of Taxation, Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, Trusts and Estates Fellow), the Illinois State Bar Association (Federal Taxation Section Council and Trusts and Estates Section), the Chicago Bar Association (Trust Law Executive Committee), and the American Cancer Society Planned Giving Subcommittee. He was named an Illinois Super Lawyers "Rising Star." Ryan received his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame in 1997 and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2006.
