Family Day at the Art Institute

Learn new ways of looking at art. Warren Buffet believes knowing more about the world enables him to make better investment decisions. Art challenges us to view the world in novel ways and shift our perception of reality.

Apply UChicago rigor to looking at art and learn how to engage kids and art newbies in a conversation about art. This tour is NOT a survey of art history, rather, it uses art as a vehicle for conversation and changing our way of seeing so we can be better business leaders.

Participants will walk away with:

  • A framework for looking at art and discussing art.

  • Tips on how to reflect and respond rather than react to bad events.

  • Techniques on using art for meditation and stress reduction

  • Tips on tapping into the creative process for better business decision making.

  • New memories with kids and grandkids!

The cost is $5 for UCWBG and Booth Alumni Club members, $10 non-members. Children under 14 are free. Buy your own Art Institute tickets. Group size limit is 30 people. We'll meet in the Modern Wing by the ticket counter.

The 45 minute tour will be followed by an optional picnic in Millennium Park. Bring your own snacks and beverages.

Partner Event

The Chicago Booth Alumni Club and UCWBG are co-sponsoring this event.  Let's take advantage of this opportunity to learn a new approach to art while having a fun day together!
