Please join us for the UCWBG Annual Meeting to meet our new Board Members, hear about our already planned 2010 events and contribute suggestions for additional future events.

Our featured speaker will be Liane Sebastian, author of Women Who Win at Work. Liane will talk about key leadership lessons and strengths learned from 35 female leaders she interviewed for her book.

Common characteristics of this high-achieving group included:

  1. Leveraging resources and maximizing overlapping agendas
  2. Incorporating flexibility into expectations
  3. Taking responsibility as fixers
  4. Changing and moving on versus looking in the rearview mirror

Women Who Win at Work is a compilation of strategies, tools, and techniques from visionary businesswomen—like listening to a circle of trusted friends. They define what it means to win at the workstyle and lifestyle blend. Each page has at least one idea that can be used immediately!

Reviews of the book are available on Amazon.

About the Speaker

Liane Sebastian, an entrepreneur, has a passion for publishing.  Wearing a marketer’s hat, editor’s coat, and designer’s shoes, Liane is a content synthesizer who makes ideas more accessible.

In the quest to discover the best ideas and cut through fluff, readers deserve more respect than they currently receive from most books published. It is too hard to find those golden nuggets that make a book worth reading.

Liane has taken the opposite publishing position: by capturing the most useable ideas, Liane’s writing offers a portal into a greater body of knowledge. Editing is a skill that Liane believes will grow in importance. She redefines how ideas can be presented through adapting to new media applications. She encourages readers to enhance learning through tools to collect wisdom.
